Today we decided to take a 30 minute train ride to Malmo, Sweden from Copenhagen. The train station is only a short walk from where we stayed. We wandered around only a short while before fiding where to purchase our tickets only to miss the train by seconds. But the next one was in 22 minutes. No big deal. We get on the train for 2 more stops in Denmark then it is across the ocean to Sweden!
It was exciting to see an IKEA in its own homeland...
Apparently Sweden looks a lot like Minnesota - perhaps that is why so many settled there!
When we got to the first stop it said Malmo, but there wasn't much there (that is where I took the last picture). Quickly the few that got off the train scattered and we realized our mistake...
So what do you do for a half hour in the middle of nowhere??
We eventually got to the city center of Malmo. It was charming.
As you can see the main mode of transportation is bicycles
And the latest fashions are curious...
I got in touch with my ancestry
It is a beautiful city with charming buildings!

That's where my grandpa was born (your great grandpa). Cool that you can be there (no pun intended). Enjoy your heritage!
